IBS Cure
In order to beat Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) it is important to note that IBS is not a disease but a strained digestive system. Therefore there is no need for medication as well as antibiotics. Rather, a natural approach is the only absolute way for IBS cure.
In taking IBS cure, it must be taken into consideration that some foods and drinks make IBS worse. Foods and drinks such as fatty foods, like french fries and burgers; milk products, like cheese or ice cream; chocolate; alcohol; caffeinated drinks, like coffee and soft drinks; carbonated drinks, like soda; make IBS symptoms worse.
On the other hand, some foods make IBS better and these include fiber rich foods which may reduce the constipation associated with IBS because it makes stool soft and easier to pass. However, there are some people with IBS who have more sensitive nerves may feel a bit more abdominal discomfort after adding more fiber to their diet. Fiber is found in foods such as cereals, breads, fruits, beans, and vegetables. It is recommended to add foods with fiber to the diet a little at a time to let the body get used to them first as too much fiber at once can cause gas, which can trigger symptoms in a person with IBS.
It is also advisable to only eat small meals as large meals can cause cramping and diarrhea in people with IBS, eating four or five small meals a day instead of big meals in less frequent time can prevent cramp and diarrhea from occurring.
Although emotional stress does not directly cause IBS, people with IBS may have their bowels react more to stress. Therefore, if one already has IBS, stress can make its symptoms worse.
Learning to reduce ones stress level can help with easing IBS symptoms. The lesser ones stress level is, the lesser cramping and pain associated with IBS occur. One may also find it easier to manage the symptoms associated with it.
Exercise, meditation, hypnosis, and counseling may help to reduce stress level. One just needs to try different activities to see what works best.
